The one thing that everyone is attempting to find is someone else is a part of themselves. If they do find that they become friends. It all goes down hill from there. In general people start to push their beliefs on each other and in the case of one's friend they attempt to make them a duplicate copy of themselves, they push and prod someone until they stop objecting to an action and become complacent to make themselves feel better, because if someone else is doing it then it's alright. Nobody who has an individual thought or attempts to live their lives the way they see fit can have many friends; the objections and reservations about go along with the crowd makes their friends feel uncomfortable. Therefore the idea of "live and let live" no longer applies in our society. The final problem is with the youth of today, some how either by the media or some other unknown force they believe that they have to experience as many possible things as possible, or in other words live life on the extreme. Yet, the inherent problem with this is the the bar for the extremes keeps on raising so the next person must out do their predecessor. Thus, leaving no end to the cycle, and not only that but where do you stop becoming an adrenaline junkie and just work to find where your life is going, stop and consider what you want to accomplish before your to old and enfeebled to do it? |
